In a close-coupled pump common motor and pump shaft are rigidly connected in a pump casing rather than being installed on pump feet. The construction of a close coupled pump is simple and does not involve any complex alignments. These pumps generally produce high flow pressure making them ideal for industry and water boosting applications.
